The photographs you lost because you where lazy

Who can not recall ifs regarding their photography. If I only would have then the image would have. That is the beauty and the beast of photography. Ifs do not count. Ifs are only in your mind and there is nothing you can do to show them except draw them. If I only is an excuse for being lazy.

The reason

The reason I talk about this is that last week I was criticizing some images with group of photo enthusiasts and up came the the excuse "i did not bother" I had to go to the trouble of....Well live with it. Photography is trouble some if you want success. It,like any arts or master sports, needs lot of practice.

Yesterday

Yesterday I had to choose between working on my house and go down town taking pictures of the rally. I did both, woke up early worked on the house and then went down town to do some street photography experiments. If I would not have gone down town I would have missed the images. If I would not have moved constantly around. I would have missed the image. That is the nature of street photography. Like the handball players say - you have to be on your toes.

There are lot of "ifs"

There are lot of "ifs" in Photography, I like the "because" more. Every thing is based on the because. Because we did or not things happen. Because I was not lazy and on my toes with eyes open I got a fine series of images from 1.st of may. Because I had been experimenting with different development in Lightroom I got the tones of this series. Therefore there is no - if I only would have in photography. There is only because and because of me reacting to it I can show an image. more photography experiments of mine from Iceland and more can be found at my flickr photography site
