Censorship in photography is common. It is happening every day, in all the news media that we have, and its not always that good. But I guess it can be justified from time to time. Press photography is a delicate matter. Magazine photography is an other thing, and then we got the naked flesh to think about.How dangerous can that be.
I know it is a minefield to wander into, the deal of wikileaks and the latest developments there, but I could not but think about it when I remembered this Poster of a painting by Fernando Botero showing a naked woman in front of the bathroom mirror partly covered by an american flag, from the Usa my way series. We where in Amalie Island and this shop and gallery owner had put up a poster with the works of one of his artists. He got charged with spreading porn but as that did not stick, those puritanists that saw pornography in the image managed to presure the town council so badly that he was orderd by the town to remove the image on the grounds of spreading porn.

For me photographing the purple dressed graduating students coming out of the church in New Orleance and having to walk between two police cars to get out to the streats where their family avaited to celebrate on this happy moment was surreal. ....Lets read more
The The man in blue on this red corner was one of the more interesting thing I found in New Orleance when we arrived, apart maybe from a street sign on a garbage filled street with the name Clinton street or the millitary men rounded up to recruate freshmen on their gratuation day. This man leaning towards the lamppost reminding me of the song whos name I can not remember but goes something like ... he was loking back at me to see if I was looking back at him ... ....Lets read more
Is no more of a mistery than any other man in the world that like a grey smoke, in his gray suites does damage to him self while doing the same to the environment in a equally thoughtless egoistic action game of welth and prosperaty. He is the gray ghost that every morning goes to the world of financial, banking, and world collapse. He is a thinker of him self as a great great warior but goes on through the days with out the world ever knowing that he exsits and would be for gotten long before his death .............if it was not for the lost lifes of inocent people……… ....Lets read more
Photographing angel is like trying to photograph the future and is more often than not connected with some thing hiper romantic and an effort to describe some religious experiences and thoughts in some kitchy design. The only contrast to that is in death as you can often find statues of angel of all kinds on graves. I found therefore this broken angel quiet depicting of the situation that was going on in the western states after that the hurricane Katarina struck.
