Sweet candyfloss - more rural street photography

When I graduadet from school I was obsessed with modern day digital photography and its future possabilities. So much that I did not care though the great street photographer Bruce Gilden did judge my images as just manipulated. Little did I know at that time that I would later on move more and more towards street photography even thoug I should have known as this had been part of my job as a press photographer.

How do you go about doing rural street photography in a town that has but one main road that runs through it at shoreline and the rest of its streets scattered here and there up the hills like snakes in a landscape. Black and white kokk

Doing Raw street photography in black and white, like in this image of the chef of Likangers Cafe Herman grilling for people at a festival night, is nice. In its simplicity it draws me back to the days when I used the Yashicamat 124G camera and the fun of using that for candid shots. This one is as simply done as there can be and the more I go out with my camera the more I leave behind of lenses and junk. One camera, one lens and maybe a flashgun like in this instance..
