1001 Photography motive # 22 Pebble stone

I know that pebbles have been a favorite of fine art photographers for a long time. Specially those that do Black and white film photography with large format cameras like 4" x 5" or 8" x 10". The fall in the form and figure set of style and light on them can be endlessly studied.

It is therefor challenging to do so in digital format. It is not overly extremely hard to get fine result.....on screen that is....but when it comes to the output, things get more complicated and equally as complicated as when outputting or printing silver gelatin based paper.

Fine art digital printmaking is hard and lot to learn there about the difference of paper and printers as well as ink.

I just wish there was a good efficient way of outputting or enlarging the digital file to fiber based silver gelatin paper. Sort of like the old darkroom marries the new photoshop.

Maybe it is just nostalgia and a wish to turn back to the good old days of darkroom. There you could put on the red light and be excused from the world until you had done your magic and returned (some times hours or days later) with the final print
