New lens baby oh yehhh
Now at last I can go out and make some real pictures. At last those guys wont laugh at me next time I show up for a shooting session. Wooohooo look at that bigma man. Now we are in to some serious shooting busisness. Whos your daddy now.
I got you there. You seriously thought that I was going to talk to you about my new Canon lens, the last Nikon lens that I bought or even my new Lensbaby lens, but nohhh oh no I am not.
I am on the other hand going to give you some tech talk because it is stated that with out a tech talk on my blog it will never be found by any body and will not drive massive traffic to my site. But who do want massive traffic. Massive internet traffic equals more bandwith and more costs. It makes your been counter sad. That is why I in fact do not care about massive traffic as long as those art directors and art buyers keep coming to my site to search for images and give me assignments.
That is why my tech talk, where I will talk to you about different lenses and different cameras, is going to be totally different from any other tech talk that you have read.
In a newly watched video podcast on photography and marketing on the internet it was stated that you should be happy in your blog and positive. It also stated that showing your knowledge of technology was a good thing as the clients would then see how you know your ways around a camera and the darkroom. Be it film or digital.
Hahaha I say. What the clients care about is ME delivering what THEY hire me to deliver. How I go about transforming their idea into usable image, is of no concern of theirs. The art director hired me because he/she trusts me to deliver the image as agreed up on, on time, with in the budget line. They do not care weather I used Hasselblad, Sony or my old Agfa 66. They do not even care if I used a pc, Mac or hammer and chisel to produce my images with.
The one and only thing they care about is the end result. The concept in the photography or the advertisement being delivered in its best possible way.
That is what makes them happy. That is what makes their clients happy. The end result is what makes everybody and their been counter happy.
This is what should make you happy in your photography for clients or your self.
Stepping above the tech talk is what photography is abut. Its the end result that we are all after. The final artwork. Our most important photography (so far). Our best photo ever.
Well maybe apart from few middle aged beer bellied men who still think photography is about who has got the longest lens and the biggest budget to buy new stuff with.
So in these series of tech talk articles I hopefully will give a new perspective on tech talk. That is, new in internet standard, as most younger people think there was no life before internet and that the internet started with new millennium.
I am going to break the rules of blog and be grumpy.
I am going to be controversial (I hope)
I am going to state the facts but not in the stile of a new soap commercial.
Its going to be more like a pile of dirty laundry in the corner which you will have to dive into one day and drag out to the light and wash
P.S if you can tell me which tilt shift lens baby macro holga instamatic i did use to take those picture abow. I will buy you a beer or warm glass of milk if you do not drink alcohol.
Stay tuned.
Stay happy.
Stay creative.
