There are probably 1001 ways of photographing the national flag of any nation. Old stars and stripes seemed to me to be such a big part of the identity of a nation that I had to start my book USA My Way with this images. It was not the absolutely first images I shot when I set my foot on American ground for the first time, but one of the first shot where I new just about what I was doing.

1001 photography motive # 71 Active Volcano

After a tuff hike and no luck I got up early on easter morning and gave some shots a try in the twilight. It gave ok result but not what I had been expecting to get from this small but active volcano in Fimvorduhals in Iceland. The distance was to great for that so there was no way other than to strap on those hiking boots
